reflection about the second test

I think i did an ok job on the second test, except i didnt finish the first question, but i wrote out something like an outline about what should be proved, which I didnt. I remember that I stuck at question 2 on a huge amount of time, probaly half of the test time. It is probaly because my English. I tried to explain some points with alot sentences, wishing dumping in information to help to clearify what I was saying, maybe I should work on my clearity of my explaination.

about the last 2 problem sets

Problem set 3 and problem set 4 are reletively easier for me. One problem I encountered during problem 3 is I forgot the formula of the sum of the propotionally increasing/decreasing series, which is studied in high school, so I have to go to an old text book and check. This experience tells me that the old stuff I studied before, no matter how detail or invisible it seems, it may still play a valuable role in my current study, so I better review my old notes and text books to get though the course more smoothly. The problem set 4 is not hard too, because I can somehow recall stuff I learned from last year's cs courses, which gives me a small advantage. So it tells me that keep my old knowlage can benefit my new study by making my studing subject more familiar so I can catch up easier.

feelings about the test earlier this week

Luckly, i finished all three questions on this weeks test, so i think i might end up pass the test. Since I did an ok job on problem sets and a terrible job on the assignment, so i end up worrying about my test result alot. On the test, i used simple inductions on all three questions. Im not sure if i can simplify some answer by using complete induction, but this might show that i am less flunt on complete induction than on simple induction. Also, i think some questions on the test i might not answering detailed enough. For example there's one question i remembered that i used some math(Calculus) strategy as part of proof, but i did not express those prove steps well enough. It is probaly because i feel rushed, which means i need to do more excercises to prepare a test like this.
